What if I don't know the VIN?
Ask the seller for the 17-character VIN, or look on the dashboard, inside the driver's door, or on the vehicle's registration and insurance documents. You'll need the VIN to search for a report.
Does every car have the same report details?
No. The information depends on the vehicle, country, and records supplied by data sources. Some reports have fewer records, and an unreported incident may not appear. A report should complement a vehicle inspection.
Can I see a report before buying?
Yes. Open the sample report to explore the format and types of information it can contain. The sample is an example; your car's records will be different.
How do I access my purchased report?
Once payment and report processing are complete, you can view the report online. Purchased reports are also available in the Reports section of your account. Contact us if you need help accessing a report.
